Supergiant Games published a new Hades 2 community update, giving players recapping things since the game’s Early Access launch and providing a preview of what’s to come ahead.
The developer made note of the several hotfixes its deployed since the Early Access launch to tackle a number of infrequent crashes and bugs impacting the game’s progression. It also let the community know that its listening, collating feedback from Steam, Discord, and everywhere else players are talking about the game in order to make future improvements.
The update also came with news of the game’s first patch. Arriving later this month, the patch will seek to reduce frustration with resource gathering and improvements to traversal via Dash and Sprint. There will be more “enhances and fixes” coming in the update, but Supergiant didn’t provide any additional details at this time.
Lastly, the developer set an expectation for balance changes to come. Noting its comfortability making balance changes numerous times throughout the Early Access development of the original Hades, players can expect Supergiant to take a similar approach with Hades 2, though as we mentioned earlier, the team is still collecting feedback to inform those decisions.
Looking beyond the game’s first patch, the developer intends to deploy another smaller update before releasing the game’s first Major update “some months from now.”
