Wii U players with Minecraft installed will be able to get hold of the Super Mario update when it is released on May 17th. Players will be able to take on appropriately blocky Hammer Bros. and Dry Bones in a place where worlds collide. In addition, a series of skins and a Super Mario-themed pre-made world complete with music and item textures will be included.
“Both the Super Mario franchise and Minecraft embrace the magic of exploration and discovery,” said Steve Singer, Nintendo of America’s Vice President of Publisher & Developer Relations. “Players will have a great time adventuring and creating in this free game update that embraces the unique and memorable elements of both franchises.”
