The pain for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League continues with the release of the game’s first season. The seasonal update focuses on the Clown Prince of Crime, the Joker, but unfortunately it's giving players more reasons to cry than to laugh.
The first issue arose with the process for unlocking the Joker himself. Players have to grind to Season Rank 35 and then fight Brainiac just to begin playing as the new season character. Want to skip the grind? That’ll be $10, please.
Strongholds, something supposedly new to look forward to in the update, are basically just Joker themed versions of the Terraformer and Bug Farmer missions already found in the game.
Even the Brainiac boss fight is mostly just a recycled version of the game’s existing Green Lantern fight.
The season update is also apparently devoid of any real new story content. Even unlocking The Joker doesn’t change any of this. All players can look forward to is doing the same old thing with a new character that barely passes as different from the existing cast.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and the Joker season update are available now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
