Submarines splash onto the scene for a limited time in World of Warships. Here are the details.
Submarines are available through June 24 and will be part of a separate battle type. You’ll be able to play as three different Tier VI submarines including the German U-69, US Navy’s Cachalot, and Soviet S-1. As expected, new gameplay tactics can be employed such as submerging and flanking.
Note, submarines are fragile and cautious hunters, armed with acoustic homing torpedoes. Prospective commanders will need to keep an eye on battery power though, as this precious resource will power their actions in the battlefield. If it runs out, they need to surface - and breaking the waves is not what a submarine commander wants without a solid plan and escape route.
