Twitch gaming fans have helped raise over $2.7M for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital ahead of this year's GuardianCon in Tampa, Florida. Funds were raised through a charity marathon with over 190,000 people viewing game streamers on Twitch. There were a ton of incentives for donations including Ninja dying his hair if donations got to $50,000 or that he would get a tattoo if donations hit the $200,000 mark. Ninja even offered to drop all his Fortnite items for every $500 donation.

Fundraising will continue throughout the weekend's GuardianCon where over 10,000 players are expected to attend.

"GuardianCon is Florida's premier gaming event that seeks to bring broadcasters, artists, editors and other industry personnel together for two days per year to celebrate all the good gaming has, can and will do. It's a chance for folks to create, share memories and positivity through participating. We offer educational panels, live-streamed gaming exhibitions, industry vendors and so much more. We are a proud partner with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and we have raised almost $2 million in two years for them.
