Next month, Ring Games will release a new play to earn game, the “premium character collectible RPG” Stella Fantasy. The new blockchain action RPG has a new trailer showcasing some of what we can expect.
The ARPG’s premise involves adventuring in a world called Verania. There will be a full story that will let players explore the lands, take on challenges, band together and battle, and be full of opportunities to collect new characters. The main storyline will let you craft basic items and progress your character growth and eventually let you open up the play to earn content.
You'll be able to choose from 12 anime-inspired characters and engage in action combat with the party you've assembled, using your character abilities and the game's highlight, something called a Stella Strike. This will be made up of a composed combination of skills based on who's in your party, so the more characters you collect, the more options you have as to what this strike looks like.
Being a play to earn title built from the ground up, the game is designed to include competitive and non-combat content that you can make some profit from. There will be stages like Abyss Rifts and rewards to earn, and an emphasis on non-traditional linearity, but include other options.
Stella Fantasy is the latest title in a series of new and upcoming blockchain-based RPGs and MMOs competing for your attention and offering potential earnings. The development team, which was founded in 2019 by developers that worked on King’s Raid, initially got funding for this venture led by companies like Animoca.
With a scheduled initial August launch on PC, the Ring Games team promises that we’ll see more announcements coming in the next few weeks with much more details about what you can expect in Stella Fantasy. According to a development roadmap on the game's official site, we can expect more content in the second half of the year, including new characters, new story, and a “Stella metaverse”.
