Perfect World and Cryptic Studios have announced that the next major content update for Champions Online will hit official release on September 4th. Steel Crusade will see Millennium City under attack by an evil super robot named Mechanon. The first wave of Steel Crusade will introduce three new instances and pave the way for a second release later in the fall.
Players will continue to see new content added with a second wave of new Steel Crusade content coming in late September – in conjunction with the fifth anniversary of the Champions Online launch – that will introduce a new open-world boss battle where players will be challenged to take on Mechanon himself with their fellow heroes.
