Stunlock Studios has begun its Steam free play weekend for V Rising, and it’s an appropriate time to give everyone a shot at the vampire themed survival RPG. V Rising has also landed on the roster of GeForce NOW supported games.

Anyone can play the game via Steam through November 1st, and enjoy a new kind of life as a new vampire, learning more about the world, trying to keep fed, and eventually, to build your castle and potentially defend it. Make some thralls, explore the lands, learn how to deal with, and benefit from, humans, enjoy some castle decoration, and more.

Currently, for those who own the game, there is a special free DLC pack that contains a number of Halloween themed castle decorations, but if you’re into the spooky vibe, they can be used anytime once claimed. This pack will be available to claim through November 7th, so if you do get in on the free weekend and love the game, this will be available to claim. And if you’re playing this vampire-themed game where you can make thralls, imprison people to keep drinking their blood, and walking around in the creepy forest, you probably do like spooky things. Might as well add some spider web drapes or skull candles.

This week, V Rising also joined GeForce NOW. If you are a subscriber to Nvidia’s service, you’ll be able to play on supported devices, including PC, Mac, and even your phone.

Additionally, this week, Stunlock made some additional balance changes, including reducing standard raid timers on official servers from six hours to four, and tweaks to spells and weapons. These changes were made “to support a healthier endgame castle-raiding environment”, including to make it a little easier for some to be able to defend their territory.

For more on the Steam free weekend, head over to V Rising.
