Spanish developers Arpic Games this week announced its upcoming multiplatform, real-time, free-to-play MMO Starriser, touting its "unprecedented travel system that allows for interceptions, piracy and random encounters" that "presents challenges to your strategy no other game has."
Though the English website is somewhat thin on details (and the company blog is in Spanish), it does suggest that players will be able to explore as well as to use their combat and trade skills to build their own empires.
