Starbase, the voxel and vortex-based space MMO, is now available in Steam Early access. Here are the details if you’re looking to check it out.
If you recall, Starbase was first announced in 2019 with a reveal trailer and details of the MMO. Since the reveal, the team has been pretty busy with developing the title and sharing progress made. Earlier this month, it was announced Starbase was releasing into Early Access on July 29 priced at 32.99€ / $34.99 / £27.99.
In the accompanying press release, Frozenbyte CEO Lauri Hyvärinen commented on the launch into Early Access,
"Early Access is here! We are incredibly excited to launch Starbase in Early Access after more than a year in Closed Alpha. The game is still in an alpha stage as we are missing features and gameplay loops, but our vision is starting to come together and it's time to open up the game to the whole community! We have an Early Access promise of 2-3 updates every month, and as outlined in our roadmap, we will introduce major new features like Capital Ships and Station Siege to the game in August-September. See you in the stars!"
During Early Access, you’ll be able to design, build & modify spaceships, explore the universe, form social connections, and earn money by mining, gathering, crafting and selling resources. You’ll also be able to start building your home stations and begin the expansion of the Starbase universe.
