The Acolyte, the next Star Wars TV show, will be debuting on Disney+ on June 4th and Star Wars: The Old Republic will be getting some new items inspired by the show in tomorrow’s 7.5 update.
The update, “Desperate Defiance” is set for launch tomorrow. The new Dark Harbinger armor set is the centerpiece of the new collaboration items, with the set making its way to the Cartel Market. The armor set is based on the one worn by the character of Mae in the show and features a deep purple hood and black mask as the character wears in the trailer. The headpieces are Dark Harbinger hood and Dark Harbinger hood with hair, giving a choice on how you want your character to wear the new set.
Several additional pieces inspired by the TV show that are going to be available with the update. The Acolyte features a Wookiee Jedi and there are Wookiee Jedi-inspired hair and beard customizations in the collaboration. There’s also a Serpent's Tongue Vibroblade up for grabs.
Broadsword and Lucasfilm Games collaborated on the collection and there’s a special behind the scenes look at how things came out. Since SWTOR is set thousands of years before The Acolyte, the items had to fit there. So drawing from what we get to see in the trailers and blending them with the game’s aesthetics was the challenge in the team’s hands.
