Star Wars: The Old Republic has a new Executive Producer’s letter from Keith Kanneg detailing Q1 for the game, recent releases, and what’s ahead.

PvP Season 5 is in full swing, with the 12-week season having launched back on February 27th. With update 7.5 expected this month, there will be a new dev stream, similar to the one held in February to introduce 7.4.1. Overall, the SWTOR team has been releasing some new content while continuing the technical work on performance, including the new launcher update (with a Steam launcher update on the way), and cloud server expansion.

With 7.4.1’s arrival on March 12th, one important step here was the opening of character transfers to the Shae Vizla APAC server after testing the new regional server previously. Transfers are open, and there’s a special promotion for 16 free transfers for anyone subscribed without interruption since January. That ends on April 12th, but there is a discount on transfers through June 10th for those who miss the free options.

And then there are Date Night missions, which arrived in the last big update after some requests for new narrative options with romanceable companions. Kanneg highlights these additions, and says that the repeatable weekly missions are going to continue. While they started with Theron Shan, Lana Beniko, and Koth Vortena, they plan to release 1-2 more with Galactic Seasons updates until every romanceable companion has these new missions.

Additionally, more on the fun side, the repeatable missions and holiday events are getting an addition - for spring. We can expect this spring update to debut with 7.5. Kanneg gives just a small hint, saying that “players will have a pretty cozy time with it”.

While some, on news of the transition of development to Broadsword, some were concerned about new updates and where things might be going, but with this new letter, the team is moving ahead with new content, and will be letting us all know more in a new livestream soon.
