After holding a special live stream yesterday to reveal more about what we can expect in update 7.5, Star Wars: The Old Republic has put the update on the public test server. Well, much of it, anyway.
To avoid spoilers, as the team announced yesterday, the narrative story content will not be on the pts, but other stuff to test out from the update will be. this includes the new Basilisk Prototype Venture system, so you can get introduced to Bessie, and the new spring events over on Dantooine.
Bessie is the nickname for B3-S1, the potential new companion you can earn for yourself as a part of the new Basilisk Prototype Venture. Ventures are new single-player content updates that aim to provide some new challenges, along with more things to do. This is the first, with plans for more to come.
On the PTS,The team is warning that it will take time to fully unlock b3-s1, so they're mostly looking for feedback on how the entire Venture feels and the process of training the Basilisk Prototype. This includes completing dailies like repairing the Droid and to upgrade her abilities. So while you can start this Venture, only the beginning and the early stages of it will be on the PTS, so don't expect to unlock a full companion in testing.
The Dantooine Spring Abundance Festival will also be available for testing, including the event missions. For Star Wars: The Old Republic, this new seasonal event will let you engage in rewarding activities like dancing, animal rehabilitation, and a galactic egg hunt. The Dantooine Farmstead half of the event will put you on, well, a farmstead on Dantooine for another challenge.
The PTS is live now, with a launch date for 7.5 coming soon.
