Update 7.5 for Star Wars: The Old Republic is now live, bringing the next chapter in the story to follow along with and much more.
The Desperate Defiance update brings plenty of new content to enjoy, including a new main storyline where we will visit the new Minboosa District on Hutta to meet our new allies. Speaking of Hutta, the entire area has been given a bit of a facelift as the development team has given it a more modern look.
A new Venture System has also been put into place with the 7.5 update, and players who have completed Lane Vizla’s story missions will be introduced to B3-S1, a new Basilisk Prototype. The new Venture system will task players with helping Lane restore the prototype to working order and make B3-S1 their new companion.
With the new content also comes a new PvP season, as Season 6 “Great Pirate Hunt” begins today. The season will last 16 weeks, rather than 12 weeks like the previous season, and Season Levels have increased from 25 to 30. The new season, of course, brings new rewards such as armor sets, decorations, titles, and new flair.
New items inspired by The Acolyte will be available on the Cartel Market today as well, where we can score the Dark Harbinger Armor set and the Serpent’s Tongue Vibroblade inspired by The Alcolyte. On top of these cosmetics, there will also be a Wookiee Jedi-inspired hairstyle and beard customization.
