EA Motive's creative director Ian Frazier announced today during EA's Play event that the upcoming space sim set in a galaxy far, far away, Star Wars: Squadrons will have full cross play.
The upcoming title set in the Star Wars universe will allow players to take on each other as either a member of the Rebel Alliance or the Empire, regardless of the platform they play on. Additionally, some of the first details of Star Wars: Squadrons have been revealed, including details regarding its story and how you'll play. Everyone will start by creating their own pilot in both the Empire and the Alliance and you'll alternate missions in Squadrons' single-player mode. Additionally, players can team up with their friends in online modes such as a 5v5 dog fight mode, as well a full Fleet Battle mode pitting Rebel and Imperial fleets against each other. Star Wars: Squadrons will allow players to pilot up to eight different starfighters, from iconic X-Wings and TIE Fighters to TIE Bombers and Y-Wings - which can also be customized throughout your gameplay. Star Wars: Squadrons will also feature no microtransactions.
