Some sad news was announced this week as the actor David Prowse, who played Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy, has died. The outpouring from the Star Wars community has been tremendous, including a tribute by the Star Wars Galaxies: Legends staff.
For those that may not know what SWG: Legends is, it is essentially an emulation of the much beloved and sorely missed MMO Star Wars Galaxies. In a tweet with a corresponding post on the swglegends website, the team wants fans and players to know that David Prowse was a significant influence on, not just the films and the generations they inspired, but on Star Wars Galaxies itself.
The beautiful thing about #StarWarsGalaxies is that nobody is truly ever gone. Iconic actors, or community members. Everyone is a part of the history of our home galaxy. Pay tribute to the life of David Prowse by visiting > Rori, Narmle. (/Waypoint -5293 -2228)#SWGLegends pic.twitter.com/m6SxPtSlbQ
