A recent live stream for Star Trek Online showed off the Section 31: Battlecruiser. Here are the details.
The stream featured Ship Artist Donny Versiga and Systems Designer Jette Leavens as they looked at the Section 31: Battlecruiser. The team discussed how the battlecruiser was made by delving into the history behind its inception.
They also looked at the ship running in its dark mode. This mode does exactly it sounds like, in that it shut off shields, lights, drone swarm and beacons. This naturally darkens the overall ship, but it’s not entirely defenseless as there are still point defense cannons.
And in case you missed it, the Research and Development Weekend is live in Star Trek Online until March 9. Various boosts to item materials will be provided in addition to particle scanning events which can release a new random duty officer to you from your faction:
- Scan a minimum of 5 traces to be rewarded a Common Duty Officer
- Scan a minimum of 25 traces to be rewarded a Uncommon Duty Officer
- Scan a minimum of 50 traces to be rewarded a Rare Duty Officer
- Scan a minimum of 75 traces to be rewarded a Very Rare Duty Officer
