Star Stable Online, is now available on mobile in the US. The horse themed MMORPG now lets players play on the go with seamless cross-play via this iPhone and iPad release.
Fresh off of its 10th anniversary, Star Stable continues to have a loyal community. With most of their players being girls and women, releasing on mobile was a natural progression. Going where your community lives is important, and the Star Stable community is largely female. According to the mobile release announcement, 43% of girls and women play mobile games more than five times a week.
The mobile version was first released in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada last year. This launch was successful, with data showing that 28% of players started playing on iOS. Not just that, but they were logging in twice as many sessions compared to desktop. The game was next launched in Central and South America and Turkey, and now it is available in the US and EU.
The game’s success over the past decade has amounted to over 21 million registered users and support for 14 languages. The decision to move to mobile, with cross-play makes sense when you consider how available grabbing your phone to play games is. Catering to a mostly female community is also on point, since mobile gaming is continuously shown to have an appeal to women and girls. Even outside of just the appeal to a female centric audience, mobile presence and cross-play are things that other developers are looking to add to their own plans as mobile has become a strong platform and cross-play more common and a frequently requested feature.
Star Stable is now available on iOS in the US and EU via the App Store. For more on the game and availability, head over to the game’s official site.
