Star Citizen has reached another funding milestone has it has now raised over $300 million.
The statistic comes from this page outlining fundraising totals, broken out by hour, day, week, and month. The game has long since reached all its stretch goals, which stopped at $65 million. As of right now, there 2.7 million “Star Citizens” in the game.
However, it should be noted that not every single one of these are paying players. This is due in part to free weekends which the game runs frequently, the most recent of which ended on June 2. This funding milestone somewhat coincides with Alien Week, marked by a roundtable discussion shared by the team.
In the video, members of the narrative team join the discussion as they talk about the lore, history, and background of the various races within Star Citizen. Additionally, in case you missed it, be sure to check out the recent Inside Star Citizen which explores creature design. While you’re at it, catch up on the recent Theaters of War AMA if you missed that discussion.
