We live in a world of leaky faucets, confirmed by the latest rumored Stadia information from a French Canadian site about the details of Google's upcoming cloud-based gaming service. Among other things, the leak reveals a launch window, pricing and a few of the games planned.
Here's what has been revealed:
- launch in November in 14 (unnamed) countries
- Founder's Editions will cost $170 including a gamepad, Chromecast Ultra, Destiny 2 and 3 months of subscription time
- subscription price for the "Stadia Pro" level is about $9 / month and offers 4K/60 FPS. Older games will be included in this pricing plan
- new games will require a separate purchase
- in 2020, a free option will be available with 1080p streaming
- requirements include 10Mbps download / 1Mbps upload for basic functionality, 35Mbps for 40K
- Chromecast will be required at the start, but in 2020 all Google device with Chrome will work
- 31 games at launch including, DOOM, 3 Tomb Raider games, The Division 2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Destiny 2
