Square Enix Confirms Talks for Switch & XB1 Versions

Square Enix has confirmed that talks are still ongoing with both Nintendo and Microsoft about bringing Final Fantasy XIV to Switch and XBox One. Naoki Yoshida had spoken in the past about his wish to bring FFXIV to other consoles than PlayStation 4 and it seems that this could be coming true. 

According to an interview with Finder, YoshiP spoke clearly about the fact that talks are moving forward and that patching issues are under discussion as well as issues regarding cooperation and support for the communities for Switch and XB1.

"We want as many players joining Final Fantasy XIV as possible," Yoshida assured. Final Fantasy XIV's head honcho says the team's "base policy" to achieving this is to continuously explore different options for new platforms to bring their beloved game to, and that discussions with Nintendo and Microsoft were most definitely ongoing.
