With Summer Game Fest set for today and a slew of announcements to come, there’s some new speculation around Throne and Liberty, after datamining found the suggestion of Founder’s Packs in a Steam update.
The info comes from unofficial fansite ThroneandLiberty.online and since Amazon Games hasn't announced a release date for the global version yet, some dataminers over at SteamDB examined the latest update to the game’s profile. With Amazon set to present at SGF today and expected to make big announcements, it's worth taking a look at a couple of things that this new info may confirm. There is a list in the code of 135 countries where Amazon will publish the game globally. none of these are in asia, so NCSoft will be handling publishing duties in the region, presumably through its own Purple platform.
Other things that were found include several Steam apps which could represent Founder’s Pack DLCs or additional paid software. Speculation compares it to how the Amazon global release of Lost Ark was handled two years ago. While there’s nothing that tells us for sure what these new items are, if it is true that they are preorder editions or Founder’s Pack tiers, the chances of a launch date or even an open beta announcement are high.
