Lost Ark's big Summer Heat update is here, adding the new South Kurzan continent, the first Kazeros raid, new story content, Advanced Honing, Chaos Assault II, and much more.
South Kurzan is here, adding a brand new continent to explore, with more endgame content. The Sea of Gienah is corrupted by a mysterious red liquid, and some are taking it as a sign that the Demon Lord Kazeros is returning. His body was sealed up long ago, but many are thinking his energy is seeping into the volcanic mountain and even corrupting the sea. With the new continent come new places to explore, new quests, new rapport NPCs, new achievements, titles, cards, new wandering merchant, three wandering merchant ships, a new Chaos Gate and more.
Those people are onto something, as the first Kazeros raid is also here, featuring Echidna (who got to keep her name). It's the first of these raids in an all new set to come before you eventually face the Demon Lord himself. This eight-player raid requires item level 1620 for normal or 1630 for hard and introduces a brand new mechanic. Allied Forces Skills is the new option, drawing from Sidereals previously introduced. A raid leader can call upon allied NPCs to help their party in combat, adding a new way to get through some of Lost Ark’s tricky content. You'll have to meet certain requirements to summon assist NPCs, but it could be key.
If you emerge victorious, there are rewards like gold, achievements, titles, mounts, trophies, and materials for the brand new gear upgrade progression system introduced in this update, Advanced Honing.
Summer Heat is a big update, as Lost Ark continues adding content teased on its roadmap. Chaos Assault II - Return of the Dragon, is here, bringing back Kaishuter. Part II will also vary the difficulty depending on your character's item level without altering rewards. One of those rewards includes chaos crystals that you can exchange at the event shop for goods.
The shop also gets an update with new weapon and character outfit skins. There's a brand new Ark Pass opening next week, login campaign and other rewards, and a number of balance changes.
