Previously set for December, Digital Extremes has moved Soulframe Preludes 8 into January.
The team revealed much in the last devstream early this month, and at the time, were still sticking to the December window. The studio was able to announce and then release Warframe: 1999 update last week, and even that has a feature that was delayed into the new year (The Technocyte Coda).
The Soulframe announcement delays the update until sometime after the holidays. There’s still no public target date, so January is all we know for now. Now that we’re in late December, with these major holidays, letting people celebrate and then bring the update to the community does make sense.
There’s a lot on the way in the new update, so even from a practical standpoint, it makes sense after getting 1999 out the door, letting the new big update launch when everyone is back after the holidays makes sense.
As the announcement reminds us:“Preludes 8 will bring an Update worthy of the hunt complete with an early version of Warsongs, Orengall’s very own Fable, and the first social hub - the hidden Silent Rose Enclave, where the Drippin’ Flagon tavern waits to welcome you.”
They’ve even released a new audio track from the Drippin’ Flagon to enjoy.
With the delay, the team also sent out 10,000 more invites. For those who had hoped to use some of their holiday time off to dive into the Silent Rose Enclave and start taming their adorable wolf cub, you’ll have to wait a little longer for that. Yet, 10k more people are joining in that wait along with you.
