Today Snail Games acquired the first Virtual Operator License from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, seeking expansion into the Mobile Platform. Snail has become the only game company in China to receive the license so far.

Snail Games is China's first 3D virtual technology developer with an expertise in online entertainment & digital cinema. A veteran with over 13 years of industry experience, Snail has developed more than 50 virtual entertainment products, imported and localized in more than 100 countries worldwide: notably Voyage Century, Age of Wushu and Black Gold Online.

The Virtual Operator License will allow Snail to lease telecommunication network and hardware equipment to supply their own Telecom Services. In other words, Snail will now possess an exclusive Network, complete with in-house devices, customer service, operation & management system.

Earlier in December 2013, Snail Games held a press conference announcing the launch of an exclusive online entertainment platform - The Snail Store. The Store aims to provide a well-rounded end user experience with better Data packages, personalized "butler", customer service and a one-click access account to all games and applications. The platform will attract substantial investment by implementing a higher royalty percentage.. With a 30/70 ratio, the store extends full support to small-scale studios and indie developers. Snail believes a higher profit margin for developers will drive the industry even further.
