Smite 2 was announced earlier this month, where we learned all of the Gods available currently would be getting a major overhaul for the devs new game. Surprisingly, not all 130 Gods will be available off the bat, according to the devs, in order to ease new players into the sequel.
Smite will have a total of 130 Gods to choose from as of February 2024, and everyone who takes on the massive MOBA has a God that is their favorite to play. Titan Forge Games has decided that it might not be the best choice to throw all 130 overhauled Gods into Smite 2 on day one, as it could create chaos among new players if they have no clue where to begin. But what about those who are accustomed to their favorite Gods?
Well, all is not lost for the veterans of the game, as the developers mention they will be adding all of the Gods from Smite pretty rapidly, without completely overwhelming newbies. To start, there will only be 50 Gods moving over to Smite 2, so there are still plenty to choose from.
One of the main things the devs focused on for Smite 2 is the quality of the graphics, since they didn’t have the technology to create such spectacular spectacles back in the day for the original game.
The rework of the Gods is stunning, and each has little details that bring them to life in a way we have yet to see within the game. More so, animations have been made more smooth, Dynamic lighting has been added, and higher polygon counts have been used to enhance visuals.
So far, there is no set release date for Smite 2, but we know the alpha version is set to release in the spring of 2024.
