With preorder Founder’s Editions open, Smite 2 is now detailing what Ascension Passes are, what you can earn with them, how to unlock God Mastery rewards, and more.
Titan Forge Games has been dripping out info as we get closer to the release of Smite 2. Last month, they put Founder’s Editions on sale as a way to support the game and lock in closed alpha access. In those announcements, the Ascension Pass was named, but they promised more details later.
In the newest blog post, and an accompanying video, now we dive into what they are and why you’ll want them. This is part of the God Mastery system and can earn you a bunch of cosmetics and deeper progression. God Mastery is accessible to all.
Play the game using a particular God and you will earn Worshipers for that God. Play that same God to earn even more Worshipers. Working like a free Battle Pass, hitting certain levels will unlock new cosmetic rewards. However, if you have an Ascension Pass for a specific god you’ll get exclusive additional cosmetic rewards.
Ascension Passes have to be unlocked per god, so this is where some Founder’s Editions come in handy, since the Deluxe will unlock 11 for you, and the Ultimate will unlock 23 of them. If you want to just earn Mastery rewards while playing, you can grind those out. The passes open up additional rewards like a permanent Worshiper boost for the god you've ascended, a new skin, and advanced tracker, and even a new God Mastery emote.
The new system will reward free players while also offering something for those collectors who are dedicated to Smite 2 and waging war with their gods of choice.
