In case you missed it, a new developer diary for Skyblivion shared details on the mod including just how much progress has been made over the years.
If you’re unaware of Skyblivion, it’s a community mod project where a group of volunteers are looking to remake Oblivion in the most recent version of Creation Engine used for Skyrim. The developer diary, the first in a series, looks at how the mod project got started back in 2012.
The mod has seen some major progress over the past several years as it’s looking to recreate Oblivion, but not necessarily as a 1:1 remake. The team are creating changes to the world based on lore and creative license. This means more lush vegetation, reworked clothing, completely new textures, new music, new weapons, new UI, and much more.
Mechanically, things like spellcrafting are staying but will most likely see a touch up. If you’re interested in volunteering, you can check out the mod’s official site here. You can also watch the full dev diary below.
