Sky: Children of the Light revealed a new take on a classic for its new holiday event: Alice's Wonderland Cafe. Debuting as part of the Wholesome Snack 2024 showcase of wholesome and cozy games, Sky’s new event got a trailer offering a peek of what’s coming.
The devs over at thatgamecompany have promoted Sky as a “coperative and emotional social adventure game” and they’ve also featured collaborations and other takes on classic stories. The showcase highlighted some of these experience, like the record-breaking Aurora concert event, and collaborations with Moomin, the Little Prince, and Sanrio’s Cinnamoroll. Now, it’s time to see the team take on another classic, all done in an interactive way to share with friends within Sky.
“Alice and the Mad Hatter are taking us all down the rabbit hole of Aviary Village’s cafe, hosting a party, and spilling the tea!” according to a post about the event from Wholesome Games. They also share a few more details. “Whether you play with friends or solo, make sure you unlock Hidden Forest to access Alice’s Wonderland Cafe.”
Prepare for this new event for the holidays. More details will be on the way, but from the trailer and previous Sky events, we can look forward to new discoveries, adventures, and maybe even some new looks.
As the end of the trailer reveals, the event will start on December 23rd. It’s almost time to “fall down the crabbit hole”.
