Fans of the tranquil free-to-play MMO Sky: Children of the Light will finally be able to enjoy the game on PC in April.
Sky: Children of the Light began as a mobile game back in 2019, first coming to IOS and then Android in 2020. The following year, it was released for the Nintendo Switch console, followed by a swift release onto PlayStation 4 in 2022. Now, developer thatgamecompany announced that the cozy MMO will be making its way to PC via Steam on April 10th.
Though it will be launched in an Early Access state, the developers shared that they will be implementing “refinements” that will “make the PC experience shine.” They went on to mention they will be bringing a special item to those on Steam PC and Steam Deck called the Companion Prop Cube that can be unlocked for 50 candles.
There will also be a Cosmetic pack coming to celebrate this milestone, which was initially a PlayStation exclusive pack, that includes a hood and a mask that changes the players voice when they wear it around the world.
More so, for seven days after the Early Access launch there will be Double Hearts given out for those who send Heart Gifts or Partial Heart gifts to friends. The devs mention that if the roads seem a bit brighter for the week following the launch, it's because there will be Treasure Candles littered across the lands from the Daylight Prairie all the way through to the Vault of Knowledge. There are 20 total Treasure Candles to gather light from, so players should remain vigilant to spot each and every one of them before the event concludes on April 16th at 11:59 am EST.
There are currently plenty of other events to enjoy until the anticipated PC release, as well as more information to come in the days before the celebration.
