As Sky: Children of the Light celebrates its fifth birthday, there will be in-person events and a celebration in-game for all players to attend, as well as a new feature to enjoy thanks to the latest update.
The fifth birthday celebration is said to be like no other, as the developers state that the party will be extra special this year. For two straight weeks, starting on July 12th until July 26th, the celebration will take place, bringing both in-game events and real-life events for everyone to attend.
The event will begin at 17:00 on July 12th in order to match the start time of the IRL event, SkyFest, taking place in Tokyo, Japan. For two days, the in-person event in Tokyo will have presentations for anyone to take part in, as well as different speakers and talks going on about the event grounds. Part of these experiences can also be enjoyed in-game, as players can meditate at the circles in Aviary Village right by the Friendship Constellation statue or the gates to all levels. Doing so will take players to a new version of Aviary Village which will be where the SkyFest festivities will take place in-game.
There are plenty more festivities to enjoy for the birthday bash, but there is also a new feature being implemented in Sky: Children of the Light. This feature will allow players to comment on other Player Creations and share their thoughts on what they liked about their work of art. Even though we won’t be able to chat with the player who created said creation, this is a way to give positive feedback on what we may have enjoyed and bring a smile to their faces.
