Skull and Bones Shares Patch Notes For March 1st Season 1 Adjustments

Difficulty changes for the seasonal battles will be made.

While Season 1, "Raging Tides" for Ubisoft's  Skull and Bones only released February 27th, the team has already releasing fixes for the new season. The changes include some major gameplay updates, including difficulty and rewards, plus a few bug fixes here and there for performance. This Season 1 patch will go into effect after a one-hour maintenance taking place March 1st at 12:00 a.m. PT.

Most of the patch’s gameplay adjustments have to do with the fights for the first major NPC antagonists, the Rogues Ambushers and the La Peste Plaguehunters. If you found them to be chasing a little too aggressively, you’re in luck, as they’ll despawn once you leave primary combat zones and de-aggro once you reach a den, or distance yourself enough. The Plague Prince will also show up less often, with a 25% spawn rate instead of 50%, and Plaguebringer mobs will overall spawn 160 seconds less frequently.

Plague Ambushers will also feel more rewarding, with a more gradual scale of difficulty and better rewards for it. The more Pieces of Eight you’re carrying, the higher the ranks that’ll show up—and no matter what, you’ll get loot for killing them now.

If you’re into the PvP Cutthroat Cargo, you might have a more interesting time if you’re carrying, well, the cargo, as they’ve bumped down your maximum speed by 20% and increased stamina depletion to 150%. A good defense is a good offense here, we guess.

There are, of course, some quality of life changes, including weapon display categorizations, as default sorting has been altered and new categorizations for gear score. There’s also some server stability fixes, name display changes, and automated ban criteria alterations to prevent abuse of the report system.

Sadly, voice and text chat are still disabled; the staff points to a back-end issue for the delays.
