Skull and Bones Season 3 is here, along with a release on Steam that also comes with an updated PC experience. The new season, Into the Dragon's Wake, sets up new conflict, improvements to warehouse space and cargo management, boosted rewards, and  economic changes to address previous exploits.

In a new letter from the producer, the team highlighted last season’s improvements, like the introduction of the Fleet Management system, new fast travel options, and the recommended activities tab.

Right before the new season came a much requested increase in warehouse space. As you rank up, you'll get access to more warehouse slots. Now that there are many more ship upgrade options, the need to store materials is even more important.

Season 3  comes with several big improvements,  including the introduction of item salvaging and material combination. The team will also be introducing additional cargo management features.

Vengeful Essence dupers are finally being addressed, with  the team calculating how much of certain items and silver you should have and doing a general soft reset in addition to monitoring to make sure that people aren't taking advantage again.

Now that the season has begun, seasonal boss drops will drop at boosted rates. In a couple of updates coming soon, they'll improve drop rates in general. One of the other changes they're looking at is based on feedback that some of the cosmetics were a little too far from the pirate theme and more of a gritty pirate setting that they promised. They'll be working with the art team to keep things more grounded and sufficiently pirate-y.

The new season itself will come with a new sea monster, new contraband currency, Imperial Jade,  new story, new world events and limited time events. The PC experience includes mouse and keyboard overhauls like improved map navigation, keybinds, and an improved shortcut bar, along with improved visuals, menu improvements, and even double click functionality.
