Skull and Bones Details World Tier 2: Cutthroat Seas, Optional High Risk, High Reward Content for Year 2

The Skull and Bones team is revealing more about World Tiers, the optional high risk, high reward way to play in Year 2 for those who want an additional challenge. 

You have the option to enter a more dangerous Indian Ocean because the team got a lot of feedback asking for more challenging content. In this way, they add tougher content for those who want the challenge, but also keep the main content accessible to a wider audience.

Reach Kingpin Infamy rank and complete the “World Ascension” quest, then you’ll get access to World Tier 2: Cutthroat Seas. You'll have the option to choose whether you want the bigger challenge or you want to keep it down to the regular content. If someone in your group has access, you can jump in with them even if you haven't unlocked World Tiers  for yourself solo just yet.

If you do take on the challenge, almost everything is at ship rank 12.Expect tougher enemies (With secondary damage and resistances),  faster battles, faster hostility being sparked, more enemies, and much tougher bosses. Factions will also have major or minor Affixes, which give them special battle strategies. It will benefit you to observe the factions using your spyglass and see what you'll face and plan your loadout carefully.
