Ubisoft’s Skull & Bones will kick off its second closed beta test later this week from December 14-18. Players selected will be able to join in via the Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
There’s a small catch, however. While the test’s scheduled to run multiple days, players will only be able to play for a total of six hours. It’s unclear why Ubisoft has imposed this restriction, but perhaps there’s a technical reason behind it. Players who have been invited to the test can begin pre-loading the client now ahead of the test’s kick off at 6PM PST on Thursday.
Ubisoft released a new trailer in advance of this week’s test. Watch it below:
Originally slated for a 2018 release, Skull and Bones underwent a significant development shift with a "new vision" at Ubisoft Singapore. After a whopping six delays, Ubisoft officially announced in October that Skull & Bones would arrive sometime in the Q4 FY23-24 window, and more recently, it was confirmed that the game will launch on February 16, 2024.
Players can pre-order the Standard Edition of the game for $59.99 on the official Ubisoft store. Sign up for the closed beta at the official Skull & Bones website.
