In just 24 hours after its Early Access launch, the single-player “simulated MMORPG” Erenshor already sold 10,000 units.

Almost entirely made by one dev under the Burgee Media studio name, Erenshor entered its public buyable Early Access this past week, on April 14, and is already sitting at “Very Positive” reviews on Steam

“The Erenshor EA launch exceeded every expectation and hope I had for it,” the dev explained in a statement.  “I can’t even put my gratitude into words. Prior to launch, I knew I had a kind and supportive community, but today has shown me that this is a very special group of gamers and I’m extremely lucky that they’ve chosen to come on this journey with me.”

Erenshor is based on classic early-2000s grind-heavy MMORPGs like Runescape, utilizing a massive army of “smart” NPCs (or as they call them now, “AI”) to create an MMORPG-like experience without the “massively multiplayer” aspect.

The Early Access phase, as Burgee Media explains, will help the dev collect and implement feedback over the next year and a half, with more content like “endgame” stuff, including raids.
