Shroud of the Avatar is setting up for its upcoming Release 70 update, which hits the MMO September 26 at 10:30 Central Time. With it the team is setting up for Halloween seemingly by bringing back Pumpkin Head, as well as new decorations, Spooky items and even a new creature, Nightmares.

On the official Shroud of the Avatar site, the full Release 70 update is detailing, showcasing some of the new items and updates coming with the release. Ulfheim is getting a rework, and it's no longer a "clone of another scene with slightly different enemies." Additionally, Pumpkin Head and his minions make their return this Harvest season, and players might get access to a powerful artifact if they manage to take him down.

Pumpkin Head returns! Each harvest season, Novians warn their children not to go into the fields at night because of Pumpkin Head! Kinga or Ronin in Castle Brittany have two quests: slay Pumpkin Head and steal a pumpkin head item from him or his foot soldiers. This heinous villain and his minions are rumored to dwell in a pumpkin patch in East Vauban Foothills. Slay Pumpkin Head and you might gain a powerful Skull Staff artifact.

Nightmares area also coming to the game with the new update. These flaming equine bosses are rare and can be found inhabiting Novia and Hidden Vale for any Avatar willing to take on the new boss.

You can check out the full release notes on the Shroud of the Avatar website ahead of its Thursday release.
