Shardbound - A Forthcoming Tactical CCG

Spiritwalk Games is launching a KickStarter campaign today to fund its forthcoming tactical CCG called Shardbound. The game seeks to bring a different slant to the typical CCG with the core game play element of 1v1 PvP. In addition, the game will come with an inherent focus on the ability of streamers to engage and interact with Twitch viewers.

In a new interview over at GameSpace.com, Caleb Epps discusses the game, from its background to its similarity to others such as Duelyst to its mechanics and tactics.

GameSpace: Can you share with us a cool experience you’ve had happen in the game?

Caleb:  The least favorite thing that happens to me is having my opponent setting up traps and then pulling me across the map into those traps. There are a couple of different cards, and unfortunately I think those cards got cut from our launch content, but there’s a card called Slag Bomb that creates a little explosive tile, and you can pull your enemy onto that tile and have it explode and do eight damage.
