Seekers of Skyveil, the fantasy mishmash of extraction and MOBA genres, has published its latest Playtest Pulse blog, recapping feedback the team has received from recent playtests and giving a look ahead at what’s coming next.
The first major piece of feedback the team is seeing is that players feel gear is far too impactful in teamfights and players’ overall power, so developer Elodie Games is making some immediate changes, cutting total power players can gain from gear in half.
Fairness vs. competition was another topic the team covered. The team appears to have received feedback about the fairness of players coming into matches with different starting setups due to their builds and sometimes having an advantage over others. Given Skyveil’s extraction genre DNA, this isn’t something the team wants to shy away from, but the developer did emphasize that they do want a game that feels competitive, so that players can overcome a power differential and come out on top.
Enough of the feedback, though. What’s coming next for Seekers of Skyveil? The team is looking at making UX/UI improvements, improving the pre match experience, tuning consumables, and more.
There’s plenty more to digest in the blog, so head over to Steam and read the latest Playtest Pulse for all the details.
