Seekers of Skyveil To Sunset Servers, Shut Studio Down Less Than A Month After Early Access Launch

Less than three weeks after an Early Access launch, MOBA-style multiplayer extraction game Seekers of Skyveil and its studio are set to shut down at the end of the month. 

“It is with a heavy heart that we share some difficult news with you today: Seekers of Skyveil will be shutting down on March 31, 2025 and with it, Elodie as a studio will also be closing its doors,” the Steam news post reads.

Seekers of Skyveil was announced in late 2023 by Elodie Games, a team of former AAA studio creatives from Riot, Blizzard, and more. It had only just entered an Early Access phase earlier this month, previously opening in small spurts to allow players into playtesting. 

“Despite the passion and long hours we poured into Seekers of Skyveil, we struggled to reach the critical mass of players needed to sustain it long-term,” the news post continues. “Without the necessary funding to continue development and marketing efforts, we have no choice but to bring this short journey to an end.”

Seekers of Skyveil’s servers will fully shut down on March 31, and the game will be no longer available for download shortly after. While the client may be launchable, matchmaking will not be possible.  

According to the news post, the developers at Elodie have added some perks in the meantime, including access to all playable Seekers and some free and premium currency to play with. The team says they are working with Steam to start processing refunds to those who bought DLC or premium currency.
