After several playtests, including a recent one in Europe, Seekers of Skyveil has a new North American playtest next week, and a bit of a roadmap on what to expect in future tests (new Seekers and more) and development.

The next North American playtest doesn’t have a firm schedule just yet, but the team is looking at next Thursday and Friday, with hours to be announced. The team said that they were considering June and it looks like it will be June. They’re going to be looking for more feedback and using that to guide their next phases, which brings us to Elodie looking towards the future.

The team started building Seekers of Skyveil, their natural first step was to nail down the core game loop, which centers on teams of Seekers going into a match to try and extract things, along with progression. They are still working on and will keep working on, but they cite improved feedback from tests as a nod that they’re headed in the right direction.

Since they got that positive feedback, the update indicates they are also looking towards their next phase where they're going to be building more content, adding depth to the game, and essentially building  new elements to enrich the experience. Deeper crafting, new maps, and more.

This also means more Seekers. They have a goal to add at least five more playable characters for a total of 12 by early 2025. We can expect to see new Seekers in some stage of development throughout most of the playtests for the rest of the year. The team has included prototypes in their play tests before, but we can expect this to ramp up  for the additional variety that the team is looking for to help improve match variety and create more build diversity.

There’s even a silhouetted sneak peek at their next playable Seekers in the works.
