Seekers of Skyveil will drop its NDA this week, opening up more transparent development and community sharing. The team also announced dates for the next North American playtest, coming later this month.
The announcement came via the official Discord. NDA for the PvPvE extraction shooter officially drops this Wednesday at 11AM EDT, which means anyone who has participated in playtests can freely share their experiences. The devs have also promised a new dev video around this time to give a new look at their work and what’s on the way.
The next playtest will happen on March 21st and March 22nd, which naturally means the next test will be NDA-free. Seekers of Skyveil recently retired its standalone Accelbyte launcher and moved over exclusively to Steam, so you can try your hand at requesting keys for the playtest under your Steam account.
The team also announced some of the circumstances for the next test. Between the move over to Steam, and the fact that they're expecting a number of new players in the game, they will be wiping stashes for this playlist.
They're resetting the gear for now with the Steam change and to make things more level for everyone who's going to test later this month, but they acknowledge that this is a stopgap measure. In the announcement, they say “We know resetting gear is a bandaid to things like limited disengage tools, gear power, etc. We're going to be taking some swings on that stuff too” with some work in the new playtest and more later.
