The final alpha test for Mad World is coming later this month. Jandisoft has revealed the alpha dates after recently revealing some of what we can expect from this test.
Testing will begin on May 25th and end on May 31st. along with the announcement of the alpha dates there is a brand new teaser for the final alpha. This trailer is brief but it is also one of the more brutal ones we've seen for the game, setting up another Peak as well at the story of what they are calling the “world gone crazy”. Text in the teaser also hints at possibly people falling into the fate of becoming demons.
While Jandisoft has previously also emphasized that some of the journey would involve finding a sense of hope, this trailer is pretty bleak. That said, they haven't not emphasized the despair that is in this world that they have been creating.
Meanwhile, the developer has also recently revealed more details about what we can expect from the alpha. These include changes over the previous tests and are broken down into categories. The system gets several improvements like the Phantom Sphere Arena, and adjustments and improvements to things like party gameplay, a quick matching and chat system, improvements to combat balance and the in-game economy.
Also in these notes is something called "reinforce field PK" with “Madness” and “improved rules” underneath. With the final teaser talking about people falling into madness, perhaps this is another feature to look out for when the test opens.
Ahead of the next test they have also included more of the game's story and new instanced content. This includes new dungeons, new maps, dungeon bosses, field bosses, additional dungeon content, quest bosses, and more.
