Second Dinner Makes Controversial Change to Adam Warlock in Latest Marvel Snap Balance Patch

Second Dinner’s latest balance update to Marvel Snap hasn’t gone over too well with the community. The patch has made a number of changes that have upset players of both meta and off-meta decks alike.

The elephant in the room is Adam Warlock, a card no one (aside from some diehard fans) played that was perhaps made worse by Second Dinners changes, going from a 2/0 to a 5/4.  Players’ consternation seems to stem from the fact Adam was playable in certain niche decks but now doesn’t really fit into any.

Second Dinner’s Glenn Jones responded to the controversy by admitting the team took a more conservative approach to ‘buffing’ Adam Warlock due to his powerful card drawing effect. According to Glenn, missing high would be better than how much he’d “warp” the meta by being overtuned even for some time.

On the more meta side of things, Forge was nerfed to a 2/2, disrupting a popular playline for Destroy players. Good boy Lockjaw was a bit too good and was also toned down in the update.

It’s not all bad, though. There’s some buffs in the patch as well. Read all the details over at the official Marvel Snap website.
