Series drops in Marvel Snap are few and far between these days. The last major drop occurred this past January and before that players hadn’t seen a drop since June 2023. Having cards that have been in play for sometimes a year before dropping from Series 5 to 4 (or 3) has made card acquisition challenging for those looking to remain competitive on the ladder, particularly newer players or those who aren’t willing to spend money to accelerate progression.
Thankfully, Second Dinner has announced a bit of relief. The next series drop is officially scheduled for June 4.
The drop will bring the following cards down from Series 5 to 4:
- Jean Grey
- The Living Tribunal
- Hercules
- Selene
- Gladiator
- Nebula
- Silk
Cards dropping from Series 4 to 3 include:
- Martyr
- Silver Samurai
- Howard the Duck
- Mirage
- Echo
It’s nice to see some archetype defining cards like The Living Tribunal drop in series, as well as deck staples such as Gladiator, Nebula, and Silk, but there’s plenty missing here. With cards like Jeff and iron Lad, who have been in play for over a year, remaining in Series 5. Jeff’s ability allows him to go anywhere he wants, except for Series 4, is the running joke in the community. Maybe next time.
