DC Universe Online is in the holiday mood with the return of Season’s Greedings today. There are even more gifts this time, with the arrival of new Ultimate Series Tactical Mods.
The seasonal event returns from today through December 30th. Larfleeze is back to steal some gifts and you’ll have to stop him. Grab the appropriate holiday mission from your journal or go to the House of Legends to talk to Sinestro or Hal Jordan to get started.
“Ring in the Holidays”, which will be a daily (along with “Seasons Greedings”) when you unlock it, pits the Green Lanterns against the Sinestro Corps. And then Larfleeze shows up, stealing the Power Rings. So the chase will continue and your work grows. Luckily, there’s loot to be earned and new feats to unlock.
Every time you complete one of the daily missions you will earn the event currency, Holly Leaves. you can then exchange these for some new holiday goods and some base items. A warm winter sweater is perfect, and the Cozy Winter Sweater Chroma could be yours. Maybe your character is itching for new hairstyle to match the frigid weather, well, the Killer Frosted Hair may be it. There are several other items to earn, including the Mecha Snowman Helmet (with hat or no hat versions), and Some ice sculptures of DC classic heroes and villains.
The new tactical mods also make a great holiday gift, according to the devs, since they’re giving one of each out to everyone. You can slot these mods into your gear and enjoy special bonuses. As long as you’re Level 10+, you can get one of each of the eight new mods for free during this holiday event.
