Rare has officially launched Season 13 of Sea of Thieves, bringing us closer to Captain Flameheart as he attempts to bestow bloodshed on any crew that dares stand in his way.
Alongside the normal reset of Renown levels comes a new storyline to follow as we sail the high seas in Sea of Thieves. Captain Flameheart has been on his voyage to our very waters since the Return of the Damned decision point adventure, and he has no plans of being cordial once he arrives. The new Burning Blade World Event takes us right to the Captain himself when he appears on the map, and once vanquished, we will need to decide to spare his life and take over his crew or sink the ship where it stands — or floats.
There are also new Skeleton Camps to bring down all across the world in Sea of Thieves, as Flameheart has also decided to terrorize the lands surrounding the sea. Solving puzzles and completing the rituals within the underground temples will add more value to the bounty of the Burning Blade, giving more gold and Reaper’s Bones reputation when you give the mighty Captain his ship back.
For those who choose to defy the captain and sink the ship, these camps will not be so friendly, as Obsidian Skeletons lurk around every corner in hopes of putting an end to our journey for the Orb of Secrets. These Orbs can then be brought to most Trading Companies around the map for a nice reward.
There is plenty of new content to enjoy with this latest update, including cosmetics, new items within the Plunder Pass, and more.
