Sea of Thieves will open up Season 15 this week, and the team is diving into what we can expect--from new challenges, easie on-screen text, pigs, and more,
Season 15 begins on February 20th, but there's already a new Limited Voyage in effect right now. This is a raid on a dark fortress, where you'll encounter ghost fleets and seaforts full of phantoms. Battle through the waves of enemies and you'll get two vaults of loot. This began on February 14th and will run through the 20th.
When the new season is here, the team will be releasing new features throughout the season. There will be not one, but two new Megalodon variants, the Feared Redmaw and Barnacled Dread, each with what they're calling “devastating” abilities that you'll be able to discover. The Hunter’s Call expands beyond just see posts, to do business in Outposts. Outpost stores will also get new items, including new Lucky Hand musical instruments and some returning items from all the way back in Season 8.
The Pirate Emporium will also stock some new items, including something free for all to claim: The Sting Tide Pistol. Premium items include the Rococo ship, costume, and weapons, a culinary cadet emote bundle, and pet pigs. pet pigs could be yours very soon.
The customized text overlay feature begins rolling out with the February 20th update. This is intended to make reading on-screen text easier. It's another accessibility feature that Sea of Thieves is adding that also works for anyone who wants a bit more control over their on-screen setups. You'll be able to customize the font size and color, as well as background color and on-screen position of the text. When the update is live, this will work on riddle maps before they bring it to more parts of the game.
We'll also see new Voyages, new wildlife, the addition of throwing spears, and more on the way.
