Sea of Thieves is announcing details on what's coming up in Season 14 when it’s out on October 17th. Expect the new Grapple Gun, new rewards, and a ton of new stealthy gameplay options.
Stealth lovers will have plenty to enjoy in the update, which offers new features, starting from the simplicity of being able to crouch. It's simple but when you crouch your pirate will make less noise and you can sneak around with your nameplate also hidden from enemy crews. You'll also get a little more invisible to some of the other enemies that are around this Sea of Thieves. It's simple, but crouching could be your first line of defense.
If you're crouching on a ship, you can also decide to fling yourself over the side if you need a quick escape. If you fall into the sea, the friendly mermaids will come to help you out (and make others notice you). So to really be unnoticed you'll have to make sure that the mermaids do not come to save you. you can do this via a new addition, Merfruit. Eat one of these and the mermaids will not come help you for a short period of time and it might give you just enough to continue sneaking up on your enemies.
Once you’re on the ship, you can also try the new Disguises. Dress up as a barrel and hope the enemies don’t notice the extra one that appeared since breakfast. Or hide as a treasure chest. These are just some of the options.
For some more direct offensive tactics, use Traps, a new throwable weapon (that you can load with other things like fireworks or Cursed Cannonballs) that will lay there and wait for unsuspecting enemies to approach. If they’re spotted, enemies can disarm traps and keep them. Maybe bury them in the sand for an extra layer of self.

Arm yourself with the new Blowpipe. Poison darts will damage until the poison wears off or the enemy dies. Lure darts, when fired, will look like the glint of loot, so you can lure someone to the right location for you to strike. Black Powder darts are small explosives. Fire one, the fuse sparks, and it will soon detonate unless you put liquid on it. The new Grapple Gun is another new weapon coming in the update. Sure, you can pull loot towards you as with the Harpoon, but you can shoot it at any hard location to propel yourself over there, which is convenient for boarding enemy ships.
Sea of Thieves will also add new Plunder Pass rewards, new cosmetics to the shop, and more in this stealthy new season.
