if you’re a Sea of Thieves fan, good news. It’s coming to Steam and will feature full cross-play with Windows 10 version and Xbox.
The news came on Twitter from the official account which wrote,
“While we don't have a date to share just yet, we're thrilled to announce that Sea of Thieves is coming to Steam soon! You can wishlist it now so that you're ready to add it to your hoard as soon as possible.”
The accompanying blog post provided additional details,
“We’re happy to confirm that cross play will allow Xbox One, Windows 10 and Steam users to adventure together when Sea of Thieves launches on Steam, letting you assemble your perfect pirating crew, whatever their preferred platform.”
You can actually wishlist the game today if you’re interested in grabbing it on Steam. The Anniversary Edition right now on Windows 10 and Xbox is $20, but there’s no indication if that price will apply to the Steam version at launch. In fact, the Steam version doesn’t have a price at present.
